Known as the “gateway” to Europe, Frankfurt has attracted over 64 million visitors this year due to its central location and year-round charm.  An international financial centre, Frankfurt not only attracts business travellers, but also travellers interested in the city's history and its famous literary sons, such as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

With the completion of the reconstruction of Frankfurt's Old Town this summer, the city has been further enriched by another attraction that draws history and architecture enthusiasts alike. After six years of construction and an investment of 200 million euros, the world is once again looking to Frankfurt and its new Old Town, the Dom-Römer quarter. Recalling the splendour of the former free imperial city, 35 old town houses, including 15 have been reconstructed and includes the addition of 20 new buildings. Original parts of the former old town, thought to have been forgotton, have now found their way back from various archives to the quarter during the reconstruction.

New Junior Suites reflect the splendour of the new Old Town

In keeping with the new splendour of Frankfurt's Old Town, Villa Kennedy, a Rocco Forte Hotel has also created a new ambience for its guests, making a stay in the villa, built in 1901, an experience to remember.

Olga Polizzi, director of design for Rocco Forte Hotels has completely redesigned the Junior Suites. Each of the nine Junior Suites has undergone an extensive transformation. Influenced by Villa Kennedy’s unique courtyard, Polizzi has incorporated a calming sense into the suites through the colour palette and vibrant wallpaper creating an airy and brighter space. Understated, contemporary fabrics, custom-made bookcases with German classics and short stories by PG Woodhouse and Oscar Wilde as well as geometrically patterned carpets and modern furniture provides guests with a residential feel in the heart of Frankfurt.

Signature Suites with the charm of their namesakes

The junior suites at Villa Kennedy are a further step in the extensive renovation and refurbishment of Rocco Forte's luxury hotels. In the summer of 2018, four Signature Suites were designed and completed at Villa Kennedy and bear the resounding names of their spade names: Jackie O., Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Marlene Dietrich.
