The UN World Food Programme (WFP) will deliver critical food support to beneficiaries in Palestine and in refugee camps in Jordan and Bangladesh, over the next six weeks, as part of its role in the ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign.
The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) announced yesterday (Sunday) a new board for the 2021 – 2023 tenure following the ordinary General Assembly meeting, which was held virtually in the presence of EPA board members, the EPA executive office, Ministry of Community Development representatives and a number of Emirati publishers.
Emirates Red Crescent Authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE’s primary satellite services operator, Yahsat, today at their headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Under the agreement, both organizations will work together to ensure disadvantaged and vulnerable students have access to quality education through the provision of advanced satellite communication solutions. Yahsat’s resources will be deployed to support the Authority’s remote education programmes and facilitate help for young people, families and schools in countries affected by disasters and crises.
This year, BeingShe, the female-driven organization and platform for women empowerment, will be hosting its first annual Excellence Awards to support and honor women and their roles in society. Set to take place June 19, 2021, the BeingShe Excellence Awards is a first-of-its-kind event for the organization, which will celebrate womanhood and salute all their passions and career paths.
