His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to His Highness the UAE President and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University declared, “The strength of the UAE higher education system lies in its diversity”. He said, “We have institutions with roots in all corners of the world. We have technical, specialist, vocational, liberal arts, and research-intensive institutions. Some are public, some private, some big and some small. Many are the result of international partnership and inward international investments”. This set up means that the UAE is one of the most important centers of higher education in the region, able to meet the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Artificial Intelligence.

Dubai Land Department (DLD), represented by the Survey Department in the Registration and Real Estate Services sector, launched the Building Classification Survey (BCS) project on the sidelines of Cityscape Global 2021. The project covers all 150,000 land plots across Dubai, including residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use plots, making a record achievement after completing the survey of 28,835 buildings, 102,523 villas, 61,321 vacant plots, 773 parking lands, and 6,943 under construction land plots.

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), in partnership with 17 local and federal entities, today launched the national guide for measurement of research and development (R&D) expenditures in government sector, as part of the Government Accelerators Program, which aims to enable a knowledge-based economy that preserves national achievements and paves the way for sectors of the future.

Bodour Al Qasimi, President of the International Publishers Association (IPA), has met members of the Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) as part of a series of meetings with pandemic-hit publishing markets, where she heard from the youngest Emirati publisher, AlDhabi AlMheiri, owner of Rainbow Chimney, about her aspirations for the future of local publishing.
