In line with the celebrations of the UAE’s 50th anniversary and Dubai's preparations to host Expo 2020, the largest international exhibition in the world where Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) is the Official Cultural Supporter, the Authority announced its partnership with Bulgari Group, the leading Italian brand in the world of jewelry and luxury, which resulted in the launch of the first edition of the 'Bulgari Contemporary Art Award' with the support of the Italy pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Another successful edition of the 'Jewels of Emirates' Show was recently concluded after attracting a high turnout of visitors, with an increase of 30% compared to the first edtion. Organized and hosted by the Expo Centre Sharjah, with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the four-day event witnessed the participation of over 100 local brands and resulted in several worthy deals, which reflects the importance of the exhibition in stimulating the gold and jewelry trade.

Under the sponsorship of its main partner Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), and as part of the programme of its 18th edition, held under the theme ‘The Future Starts Now’, Abu Dhabi Festival presented the world premiere of L’Apocalypse Arabe, an opera co-produced with the pioneering experimental cultural institution the LUMA Foundation in France. The opera debuted on 4 and 5 July at Luma Arles’ Grande Halle, Parc des Ateliers. This premiere is part of Abu Dhabi Festival’s ongoing mission to contribute to culture and art globally through commissioning and producing works around the world, and through collaborations with international arts organisations.
