From the 27th till the 29th of January, the sextet Música Antigua, led by Eduardo Paniagua, winner of several classical music awards, will present its latest show ´Sueño de Al-Andalous´ (Dreams of Al-Andalous). The concert will take place in the Spain Pavilion located in the sustainability district, and on the Earth Stage at Expo 2020 Dubai.

´Sueño de Al-Ándalus´ tell the story of the evening parties in Al-Andalous through Arab-spanish music. This concert wants to evoke the festive and musical atmosphere of the Andalusian nobility and royalty in the times of the Christian reconquest. A cultural and diplomatic exchange between all the inhabitants of the medieval Spain, with a poetic touch.

The show aims to spread awareness of the cultural richness that Al-Andalus meant for Western music and serve as a sample of this art that is inextricably linked to life, to the affections and emotions that music brings to the individual and the society. An evocation of Granada and the Nasrid world of the Alhambra, as well as the Alcázar of Seville.
