Each landmark across the Emirate of Sharjah bears witness to a unique story and is shaped by a journey of accomplishments, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. In this archival photo album, the memories of several key Sharjah landmarks and the history of its residents and visitors are invoked and celebrated. From photographs taken more than 50 years ago to the present, this is a journey of aspirations and ambitions that have inspired a vibrant civilisation and cultural project in the region and across the world, known as Sharjah.
