Alef Group, the leading real estate development company in the Emirate of Sharjah, has successfully concluded its participation as a strategic partner in the fifth edition of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival. The event organized by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) at the Expo Centre Sharjah took place on 22 and 23 November under the slogan ‘When Stars Collide’ and saw the participation of around 55 speakers and more than 4,000 entrepreneurs and founders of startup companies.
Alef Group participated as a strategic partner and commenting on the event, Alef Group CEO Issa Ataya stressed the importance of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival in providing a stimulating environment for entrepreneurship in the region, adding that the emirate is increasingly becoming an attractive destination for talented and creative people, as well as for emerging companies.
According to Ataya, Alef Group’s participation in the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival aimed at enhancing communication with entrepreneurs and highlighting the given opportunities through the Group's projects. In addition, the Group was looking to attract emerging companies to work on its affiliated projects, in particular Al Mamsha, one of the most significant and integrated projects in the emirate.
The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival provided Alef Group with an opportunity to share its most prominent real estate projects with participants and attendees. The Group’s participation further provided a platform to showcase various facilities that would enable entrepreneurs and emerging companies to launch their projects in the emirate, from where expansion to regional and international markets is possible.
As part of the event, Ataya participated in the judging and selection of a winner in the Al Multaqa Challenge, an initiative organized by Sheraa in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Youth to support startups specializing in creative sectors, in line with the United Nations’ theme marking 2021 as the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development.
A winner was selected from six finalists and received a prize valued at AED 150,000. In addition, the winner will have the opportunity to implement its project at Al Mamsha, one of Alef Group’s main residential projects.
Al Mamsha project, located on Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Street near the University City of Sharjah, is characterized as the first and only fully-walkable community in the emirate. It integrates modern living, retail, and leisure into a vibrant urban and tech-savvy environment.
