The UAE’s Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) and Spain’s Ministry of Science and Innovation (MSI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see them develop an advanced technology framework over the next three years.
Dubai Land Department (DLD) and Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI), an agency of Dubai Economy, joined forces to lay down a general framework that would enhance the attractiveness of investment in Dubai by attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), expanding the scope of promotions and knowledge sharing as well as organising joint activities that will directly serve the strategic objectives of the emirate. To achieve these objectives, the two parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) defining the relevant areas of cooperation and laying out a roadmap.
The Organizational Committee of Ports and Border Points in the Emirate of Sharjah recently held a meeting with the Federal Authority For Identity And Citizenship (ICA) to discuss the smart land ports project, which the ICA intends to implement to facilitate and speed up procedures for arrival and departure across the border, using smart and digital systems to verify the identity of travelers and authenticity of documents.
