On Emirati Children’s Day, Khawla Al Serkal, Director General of Sharjah Ladies Club, said: "The UAE has made remarkable achievements in the field of child care, health, safety, education and wellbeing. These achievements reflect a cohesive national strategy, to elevate the status of children and prepare them for the future, enabling them to contribute to the nation’s development."
She added: "Since its founding more than 35 years ago, Sharjah Ladies Club has been keen on caring forand nurturing children. The club's several initiatives and activities through offering seasonal camps across its different facilities which are specifically tailored to different age groups and their interests reflect the club keenness to support children and encourage them to develop and discover their talents, and instill in them a sense of responsibility, in line with the strategy of the UAE in general and the Emirate of Sharjah in particular, which gives particular attention to learning and protection, especially as a Child-Friendly City.”
SLC and its branches has organized a variety of activities to celebrate Emirati Children's Day, that promote children’s rights, and enhance children’s skills through interactive activities that reflect a national sense of pride and belonging, in a healthy and favorable environment.
