    With focus on improving the status of women’s health in the UAE, the British Orchard Nursery, UAE’s largest chain of pre-schools, teamed up with Lifeline Hospital to organise awareness event on cervical cancer.     Brother International (GULF) FZE, the leading global manufacturer of home sewing machines, has partnered with Craft Land, a needle and fibre crafting store in Dubai, and Brest Friends, a UAE-based support group that provides psychological counselling and support to all breast cancer patients, survivors and their families, to hold this year's edition of 'Sew Pink,’ a 30-hour sewing marathon that aims to increase awareness on breast cancer and make care packs for recovering breast cancer patients. The event started on October 29th and will run till October 31, 2015, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Dubai Marina Mall. This year’s event aims to surpass the success of last year’s edition, which saw the participation of more than 300 volunteers and saw the production of 668 mastectomy cushions and drainage bags that were part of care packs distributed to patients recovering from breast surgery.
