• Director of Dubai Customs makes evening tour to Customs Declaration Management and Control Room

    Director of Dubai Customs made an evening tour to the Customs Declaration Management and the Control Room of the Customs Intelligence Department. He confirmed that Part of Dubai Customs role is to maintain security and safety through securing the emirate’s borders and entry points and protecting society from the hazards of illegitimate trade. “Serve People” is one of the ten commandments of governance set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

  • Dubai Customs and Dubai HR Department graduate 1st batch of customs trainers

    Dubai Customs graduated the first batch of the Customs Trainer Diploma Program in cooperation with the Dubai Institute for Human Resources Development. The graduation ceremony took place in the presence of Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, Abdulla Ali Bin Zayed Al-Falasi, Director General for the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) and Farid Hassan Al Marzouqi, Executive Director, Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division.

    Sultan bin Sulayem, DP World Group Chairman & CEO and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation received a delegation from Dubai Police headed by Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.   • Dubai Customs concludes 24th edition of Carpet & Art Oasis 2019

    Dubai Customs concluded the 24th edition of its Carpet & Art Oasis 2019, which ran this year under the theme “Mix of art and innovation”. The exhibition was organized on the City Walk, one of Dubai’s vibrant places, and it drew 63,000 visitors over 26 days. A total of 15 local exhibitors, specialized in rug and carpet trade, participated in the event which occupied 3,100m2 and featured more than 15,000 exquisite and rare carpets.

    Dubai Customs always provides support to the maritime sector towards a more diversified economy in line with the Dubai Plan 2021. This helps in facilitating trade in different ports including Dubai Creek, which may not be the city’s most important trading port anymore but it will always be a very important route of trade for dhows at the heart of Dubai. During his visit to the Coastal Customs Centers Management, Director of Dubai Customs Ahmed Mahboob Musabih highlighted the very important role Dubai Creek plays in the city’s diversified trade and is still shaping the very soul of Dubai, now running freely through the veins of the city, keeping alive its vibrant heartbeat, linking the sea back to the sea.

  • Dubai Customs distributes 20,000 meals during Ramadan

    HE Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs and Philip Frayne, US Consul General to Dubai joined Ghayath Volunteer team last Saturday in distributing 5,000 Iftar meals to motorists and pedestrians on Sheikh Rashid road at sunset time as part of Al Furdah Hands initiative.

  • Dubai Customs organizes women’s “Tolerance Parade” in conjunction with International Women’s Day

    Director of Dubai Customs Ahmed Mahboob Musabih and Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence participated in the women’s “Tolerance Parade” at Maydan racecourse for a distance of 4 kilometers. The parade was organized by Dubai Customs in conjunction with the International Women’s Day which is celebrated globally on 8th March. More than 500 female employees from 14 government entities took part in procession, in addition to mothers of people of determination (people of special needs). The event, organized by the Women’s Committee at Dubai Customs, comes as part of the series of events that Dubai Customs has in place for the Year of Tolerance.

    Dubai Customs made a new major captagon seizure hidden in a foodstuff container coming from an Arab country. Cooperation between different customs departments and good planning have led to thwarting the attempt to smuggle 5.715 million Captagon pills at Jebel Ali & Tecom Customs Center.

The organization has scored best on the “Leadership in Government Services Index”.
