    London art house, Fortune Favours Art, held its first ever Dubai exhibition, 3@D3, held in Dubai’s Design District, featuring artwork by Persian artist, Saeedeh Keshvari, established UK contemporary sculptor, Schoony, and emerging talent, Lillie Bernie. The exhibition showcased a live art collaboration in which Bernie painted a one-of-a-kind sculpture by Schoony, marking the first time the two artists have worked together to complete an artwork. The piece will be auctioned off and proceeds of the sale will be donated to charity.

  • Médecins Sans Frontières portrays victims of war in photo exhibition

    For the first time in the UAE, Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF), in collaboration with Alliance Francaise and the French Business Council, is hosting “Healing Wounds”, a photo exhibition highlighting the stories of patients treated at the MSF Reconstructive Surgery Hospital in Amman, Jordan. The hospital was set up in 2006 in response to the high numbers of severely injured people MSF saw during the Iraq war. Since then the hospital has grown to serve patients from across the region, including Syria, Palestine and Yemen.

    The Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award, a visionary annual award established in 1992 to recognise the work and contributions of modern day art patrons, has taken place in the region for the first time. Rajeeb and Nadia Samdani, recipients of the 2017 Award were honoured at a ceremony held in Dubai to recognise their work with Dhaka Art Summit and contribution to the arts through the Samdani Art Foundation.
